About me…my inspiration to become a Potter…

My name is Carol and I am a Ceramic Artist.  I live in Bucks Country, PA with my high school sweetheart, Bob.  

Every day I am inspired by the beauty that surrounds us here in bucolic Bucks County and my potter’s wheel allows me to creatively translate all that captivated me about this beautiful and historic place into unique pieces of hand crafted functional art.

I became a potter because I found it to be an incredibly fascinating and rewarding craft.  The excitement I feel when I open my kiln to see how a new pattern or glaze has fired is a highlight of the process for me.  I am always intrigued by the learning I get from the unpredictable results of a new glaze or form.  As I roll a rim on a bowl, I am often warmed by the nostalgia of any childhood, where in my mother’s kitchen, I would watch her master her famous double chocolate pudding cake and dream of creating something as magical with my own hands someday.

I approach every new piece or project with positive energy and a total organic love for this art.
